Environmental Energy Engineering further expand its international relations in 2025
Thöni’s global presence in America is being further expanded through various trade fair appearances in Las Vegas, Denver, and Toronto. This strong presence is bearing fruit: projects in Calgary and Cordele are currently being implemented. Here you can find more details about our trade fair appearances and our ongoing projects in America.

Ongoing projects in America
TTV OX Cordele – Cordele, Georgia (USA), will be the new home of the 40ft OX digester. There, the big brother of the first TTV OX digester from France will process up to 600 tons of OFMSW (organic fraction of municipal solid waste) every year.
TTV Calgary – The city of Calgary, Canada, has decided to expand its existing facility with a biogas plant from Thöni Environmental Energy Engineering. The aim of this expansion is to use organic waste to generate renewable energy in the form of biogas. The expansion will create an additional processing capacity of 60,000 tons per year. The additional 60,000 tons per year will generate climate-neutral biogas, which will be processed into biomethane and fed into the natural gas grid. This will increase processing capacity and transform the waste treatment process from energy-consuming to energy-producing.
In March, the first components and the heart of the plant – the two agitators, each 30.5 meters long and weighing 46 tons – were transported from Landeck to Calgary.
