The Thöni Sky Lounge recently provided a festive setting for a celebration honouring long-serving employees of the family business. Seventy-eight employees celebrating anniversaries and nine retirees were honoured for their service or bid farewell as they entered their well-deserved retirement, 30 apprentices were recognised for their achievements and awarded performance badges, and nine apprentices were presented with certificates for successfully passing their final apprenticeship examinations.

Employees of the Telfs-based company who have been with the company for ten years or more are honoured at the annual celebration. ‘One of the best things you can celebrate in a company,’ said Helmut Thöni, managing director, praising the competence, commitment and loyalty of the 78 workers and employees honoured, including twelve employees who have been with the company for 35 or 40 years. He expressed his special thanks for their great commitment in what continues to be a challenging environment. He also thanked seven loyal employees who were retiring.

Despite the continuing difficult economic environment, Helmut Thöni expressed his conviction that Thöni, as a stable family business with promising business areas, is well positioned and will overcome the challenges ahead thanks to the strong cohesion among its workforce. ‘We can be proud of what we have achieved together and want to continue to be a good and reliable partner to all our employees and customers in the future.
